Hi! I’m Hope

I’ve been shooting weddings on and off for the last eight years- mostly because I’ve moved a lot. But I completely love taking pictures! Everywhere I go I’m taking pictures. They’re my memories and they’re so important to me.

I remember photographing my first wedding ever. I had just moved to VA- straight out of college- and was so nervous! Not only because it was my first, but because those moments were one of a kind and that couple had hired me with basically no real world experience under my belt. Eight years later, I have had so much more real world experience and have witnessed some truly amazing weddings. That nervous feeling never truly goes away for me because I understand the importance of what I am capturing and feel so honored to be a part of it.

A little bit about me:

My husband and I are newlyweds! We just got married in June 2021!

My puppy Liddy is my child- sorry not sorry.

I love all things plants and have well over 50 houseplants that my husband keeps alive for me.

I love traveling, baking, home decor and am a novice bird watcher.

My Beginnings

I can’t say that I’ve always wanted to be a photographer. Honestly I just enjoyed how fun it was to copy my Dad while he took photos of my sisters and I (all on film I might add). When I was old enough to develop my own film, that moment was magical and that’s when I fell in love with the process of photography- not the “marketing myself as a bubbly personality who was filled with a passion to be social and drink coffee” (I didn’t even drink coffee when I started my business). But as time changed and I grew up, I did indeed start drinking coffee, but more importantly my passion for taking photos has not waivered. And I’ve actually learned just how special my skills are, and how special it is for me to be included in the events I’ve been apart of. Things are meant to be treasured.

My ultimate goal is to capture your special day to the best of my ability. But more than that, I want you to feel comfortable and able to be yourself around me.
